I know, we should be lamenting the lack of rain, but the weather has been absolutely fabulous up here, and there is every sign of an early and splendid spring. At this time last year, we were snow shoeing on trails that are now a pleasant walk through the woods. Can’t help but love it!

I am sure that when you think of Mardi Gras, the first city that comes to mind is Nevada City, not!  If not first, then it should be up there somewhere.  We do in fact, have the largest Mardi Gras celebration and parade west of the Mississippi, and it’s this Sunday!  At the Emma Nevada House we love having the parade queue up on the street in front of the house.
